Juliet Hardeman is a parent mentor in the Georgia Parent Mentor Partnership in which she supports families of students with disabilities in a local school district. A former high school special educator, Mrs. Hardeman has extensive experience in assisting individuals with disabilities and their families in learning about their rights under IDEA & ADA, developing strong school/ home communication strategies and effective advocacy skills. Her specialty area includes assisting families in transition planning for post-secondary life and accessing state & federal supports for their family members with special needs. Mrs. Hardeman currently is a board member of the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society. She also is a governor appointed member and current chair of the Georgia State Rehabilitation Council which is the stakeholder group for Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA)
Additionally, Mrs. Hardeman has served in the Army Medical Service Corps for over 21 years, and she has been deployed globally in support of combat and humanitarian missions. She and her husband, Frank have been married for over 33 years and have raised 2 daughters on Wilmington Island, Georgia.
